Ceremonies
Mama Killa World (MKW)
Scope: spiritual/educational & wellness activities (non-medical)
Last updated: 17/10/2025
Our ceremonies are spaces of respect, learning, and inner work. We facilitate traditional practices and wellness tools with a spiritual/educational focus, prioritizing safety, confidentiality, and participant autonomy.
1) Nature of the ceremonies
Purpose: connection, clarity, self-care, and personal integration.
Approach: non-clinical facilitation with written Health & Safety protocols and Informed Consent.
Scope reminder: we do not diagnose or treat disease and do not replace your medical/psychological care.
2) What to expect
Opening: welcome, group agreements, personal intention.
Guided preparation: breathwork, song/sound, mindful silence.
Ceremonial practice: according to the medicine/ritual of the day.
Closing & integration: optional sharing and self-care guidance.
Typical format
Duration: 3–6 hours (single circle) or 1–5 days (retreat) — occasionally longer in very specific programs.
Group size: intentionally small, supported by trained facilitators.
Languages: English primarily; we can facilitate in English, Spanish, and Papiamentu, with support in Dutch when required.
3) Required preparation (mandatory)
Purification diet & abstinence: each practice has specific guidelines and timelines (some may require up to a week or more).
Screening: truthful Health Questionnaire, and a brief interview when needed.
Consents: Informed Consent and any addendum (e.g., Kambô Addendum).
Rest & logistics: arrive well-rested, responsibly hydrated, and in comfortable clothing.
Detailed instructions are provided in your Preparation Guide. Participation requires full compliance.
4) Practices & medicines we may include
Availability varies by legal and operational context. Not all practices are present in every ceremony.
Rapé (sacred tobacco, Nicotiana rustica)
Grounding/clarity focus. Contains nicotine; may raise BP/HR.
Contraindications (indicative): uncontrolled hypertension, arrhythmias, pregnancy/breastfeeding.Sananga (Tabernaemontana spp.)

Mandatory: Kambô Addendum plus on-site safety checks.Ayahuasca (higher-risk practice)
Important distinction: Ayahuasca is not the same as isolated DMT. We do not work with pure/isolated DMT.
Ayahuasca, a traditional plant brew, is treated as a higher-risk practice requiring:Specific preparation protocol (diet/medication restrictions, abstinence, sleep, hydration).
Enhanced screening: complete disclosure of all medical and mental-health conditions, current and recent medications (including MAOIs, SSRIs/SNRIs, antipsychotics, benzodiazepines, beta-blockers, diuretics, anticoagulants), allergies, surgeries, pregnancy/breastfeeding status, and substance use.
Strict contraindications (indicative): cardiac disease/arrhythmias, uncontrolled hypertension, history of seizures, severe or decompensated psychiatric disorders, pregnancy/breastfeeding, recent major surgery/infection, and any medication or supplement with potentially dangerous interactions (especially MAOIs and serotonergic agents).
Facilitation & monitoring: trained team, conservative dosing protocols, and safety pauses when indicated.
Legal availability: ceremonies with ayahuasca are offered only in jurisdictions where explicitly permitted, with local legal guidance, reinforced protocols, and specific informed consent. They are not available everywhere and are never advertised where not permitted.
5) Safety & admission criteria
Right to admission: we may postpone, pause, or decline participation for safety reasons.
Pause signals: intense dizziness, confusion, chest pain, intrusive thoughts—inform staff immediately.
