This policy explains how Gift Cards and MKW Credits (credits issued for changes, rescheduling, or credit refunds) work. Our goals are transparency, safety, and ease of use.

1) Definitions

• Gift Card: pre-paid value issued by MKW for MKW events/services.

• MKW Credit: balance granted when you choose credit for a cancellation/change (see Booking & Refunds).

• Purchaser: the person who buys the card. Recipient: the person who uses it.

2) Issuance & formats

• Primary format: digital card with a unique code (link/email/WhatsApp).

• Physical format (if offered): printed card with code; the physical medium is not cash.

• Currency: shown at purchase (e.g., USD, ANG). FX fees may apply if booking in a different currency.

3) Value, reloads & limits

• Available amounts: as listed at purchase or custom (subject to current minimum/maximum).

• Not reloadable: a Gift Card cannot be reloaded; you may purchase another.

• Operational caps: for security, MKW may set daily/per-person limits.

4) Validity & expiration

• Gift Card: valid for 12 months from issuance unless stated otherwise at purchase.

• MKW Credit: valid for 12 months from issuance (see Booking & Refunds).

• One-time extension: we may extend once for 3 months if you write to us before expiry and operationally feasible.

5) Transferability

• Gift Card: freely transferable (share the code securely).

• MKW Credit: transferable once (1x) with prior approval, provided the recipient passes screening and signs consents.

6) Redemption (how to use)

• Official channel: book via WhatsApp +599 9 523-5214 and provide your code and event.

• Applying balance: deducted from the event/service price. If there’s a difference:

  • Higher price: you pay the remainder.

  • Lower price: the leftover stays as active balance within the same validity period.

• Confirmation: redemption is confirmed after Payment (if any) → Screening → Consents.

7) Use restrictions

• No cash out: not redeemable for cash (unless required by law).

• No card-to-card: cannot be used to buy new Gift Cards.

• No external tips/donations: does not cover third-party payments outside MKW.

• Availability: subject to capacity, dates, and locations offered.

• Legal compatibility: Ayahuasca ceremonies are available only where legally permitted; your card/credit does not guarantee availability in prohibited jurisdictions.

8) Refunds & changes

• Purchased Gift Cards: generally non-refundable once issued.

• MKW Credit: reflects your choice under Booking & Refunds; not convertible to cash (unless legally required).

• MKW-initiated cancellations: you may reschedule, retain credit, or, where applicable, choose a refund per Booking & Refunds.

9) Loss, theft, or unauthorized use

• Treat it like cash: anyone with the code can use it.

• Immediate notice: if lost/compromised, contact us at once.

• Discretionary reissue: MKW may reissue or freeze balance if unused and you can verify identity/purchase.

• Limited liability: MKW is not responsible for unauthorized use prior to notice.

10) Fraud & security

• We may block or void cards/credits obtained or used fraudulently (e.g., chargebacks, phishing).

• Verification: we may request purchaser/recipient information before redemption.

11) Balances & statements

• Balance check: message us on WhatsApp or email with your code; we’ll confirm balance and validity.

• Receipts: we’ll send confirmation of redemptions or relevant movements.

12) Taxes & fees

• Local taxes: if an event is taxable (e.g., tourism tax), they are calculated on the price; the Gift Card/Credit may cover part or all.

• Payment processor fees: gateway/bank fees are not refundable (see Booking & Refunds).

13) Jurisdiction & compliance

• Use is governed by the law of the event’s location.

• Ayahuasca: offered only in permitted jurisdictions with reinforced protocols and specific informed consent.

• Isolated DMT: MKW does not work with pure/isolated DMT.

14) Privacy & data

• Purchase/redemption data is handled under Data & Cookies and Health & Safety – Privacy (limited access, retention for compliance).

• We do not sell your data; we share only where legally required or to process the transaction (gateway, bank).
